CAFS' Class Schedule

Master Leyau does not plan his classes more than 3 months ahead, and so you will have to check back with the web site for updates on the latest classes scheduled. That is his working style, in contrast with the other schools that operate differently. 

Registering through Brandon - what's the difference? 

Booking a class via me means I will accompany you to the class, and the benefit of that is that you have someone who can answer to your questions, or point you in the correct direction to ask the Master. I would be lying if I told his class was easy, especially when you think you already have an idea of what Feng Shui is. Many new students out of their own pride think too proud, and end up having more doubts in their head without someone to guide them. A fair warning, the amount of information you get from the class is phenomenal and it may not be that easy to digest! 

What is in it for me? I am doing this under the heavy request of Master Leyau who pursued me for more than half a year to work with him in late 2010. Things may change once he has his own marketing methods set up, but for the time being, just being glad to offer some help.

In the end, we can all learn from the same teachers, but what the students pick up for themselves lie within our hands. Each student has his or her own intelligence level, natural skills and temperament, learning ability and ultimate motivation for wanting to learn Feng Shui and the other Chinese esoteric arts.

Just like the Chinese saying, choosing a teacher is like choosing a fisherman who knows the waters, and  who then teaches you where to fish to get the best catch. You can choose to brave the oceans on your own, if you have a lot of time, effort, learning capabilities and capital. 

The ancient Chinese Feng Shui texts are written in codes, you need to know the context and the language well to be able to understand them, or else you will be creating your own type of Feng Shui school as you interpret the ancient texts according to your own understanding of the Chinese language and culture. This has been happening ever since the ancient Feng Shui texts were published hundreds of years ago, and it is happening even until today.

What I appreciate about Master Leyau as my teacher is that his course material are all distilled and crystallized from the Feng Shui classics, and taught in an easy to understand manner during the classes. If like me, you want to dwell deeper into his teachings and read the ancient texts, you can see the lines and verses bursting into life when they are compared to what I experienced at the classroom and at the practical.

You can see a lot of marketing in the Feng Shui teaching market using catchwords like "authentic" and "classics", etc. Master Leyau don't just say it, he lives and breathes it, and teaches it in the courses. When you have the chance to attend the courses, find the correct time to politely ask him about the Classics, provided you have read them. You will be astounded that he is like a walking encyclopaedia... He doesn't recite them, he has read them, analyzed and digested them.

What you learn in the classroom is his great body of work crystallized according to the different subjects.  And backed with more than 2 decades of real life practical experiences, in Yang Feng Shui and in Yin Feng Shui. I like to use the Chinese saying, 

"Real Gold is not afraid of the test of Fire".

Why are you doing marketing work for Master Leyau?

Truth be told income is more regular and more substantial from my own consulting work with my own clients! I have an established client base who have seen results with their houses done by me. Whatever I have done  with my own clients are attributed back to me. I am happy with my current lifestyle, I live in a beautifully furnished apartment with my lifetime partner, go to the Bikram Hot Yoga classes and the gym regularly, and takes lots of travel trips when we can.  I come and go as I please. No attachments no wild ambitions - just living life. What more can I ask for?

..being appreciated

The main reason that I have started Pure Feng Shui Academy half a year after I closed it off in September 2010 (after ending my previous collaboration with another Feng Shui master), is that Master Leyau is very encouraging of my talent in writing and marketing. I was ready to retire from marketing (and helping Feng Shui friends) and concentrate on my own consulting work again. He can see and recognise my potential and talent in Feng Shui and its related marketing work. What more can an artistic person ask for? I have finally met someone who appreciates my work. 

.. a solid Master

Master Leyau has a whole body of work behind him, he has decades of experience and a long list of clients he has worked for. Even a Grand Master and his children have attended his courses, including the Thai Master that I used to write for. He knows his work well, have his eccentric quirks but is a nice and principled person at the end of the day. I am just as eccentric.

I have received quite a lot of requests to teach over the past few years, but I think it is actually better you go to the source that the Masters go to! Go to the Master's Master! I am a person who “饮水思源", I don't agree with the other young Masters who have to deny their Masters that they have learnt from, just to make themselves look better. Why? Don't they know one day their students will do the same to them?
