Q (1). Are meals provided during the courses?
A. No, lunch time is a quick affair at the eating places near the school.
Q (2). Do you welcome students who have studied with other schools / masters?
A. Of course we do! Many of the past students of CAFS have studied with numerous other schools and masters, spending 5-6 figures sums before. Most felt that there were some gaps in their knowledge, after all the money that they had spent. These gaps were satisfactorily filled after attending our courses.
Q (3). Do you charge for revision class?
A. The first revision is free, and so effectively your school fees are divided by 2.
Q (4). Do you have a student forum on the internet?
A. Students can form their own groups with like-minded classmates and form discussion groups. In the worst case scenario, Brandon is based in Singapore and can be easily reached on the mobile phone number. There is no need to set up forums as most of the time, most people are not willing to truly contribute and answer to the questions in full in public for anyone to see. It is counter-productive. There are too many ulterior motives in the answers and ego-maniacs at the public forums! Do you trust the answers coming from "anonymous / nicknames"?
Q (5). There are many courses available now - why should I study with CAFS?
A. Just read the testimonials on the web site from students who feel they have genuinely benefited from the knowledge gain. Master Leyau's CAFS has been around for close to 3 decades and his courses are built from his solid body of knowledge and decades of real work experience and application. The Xuan Kong series of Feng Shui class follows the historical T'an School lineage. We build your foundation in Feng Shui strong and solid through our courses. Marketing for our courses are deliberately low-key as we believe in quality. Many have already discovered the secret, and we are happy to remain low-key.
Q (6). Are there any hidden costs in addition to the school fees?
A. No. There are no software to buy as you will be taught how to do the Flying Stars charts and Da Gua calendar yourself manually (for XKDG date selection course). Master Leyau's Luo Pan is not sold commercially as they are individually hand crafted by him. Sometimes students can wait for as long as 3 years for one! I am considered lucky, only had to wait for 1 year! Such is our belief in quality. We are also not interested in getting students to sign up for franchise schemes, or to sell products. What you are paying for is pure knowledge. If the course is conducted in Malacca, Malaysia then you have to factor in additional transport and accommodation costs if you are from Singapore.
Q (7). What kind of teaching materials do you offer to students?
A. Students will each be given a work book prepared by Master Leyau, a crystallization of his years of experience and body of knowledge. There will be work sheets in the work book for exercises, so you will be well covered in course material.
Q (8). Are recording of any sort allowed during the class?
A. Students are allowed to bring voice recorders to do voice recording. No video recording though!
Q (9). What are your payment terms?
A. You can do interbank transfer to a local Singapore bank account, write a cheque, or pay by cash.
Q (10). How long does it take for a student to become proficient in his or her Feng Shui practice?
A. It takes years of experience before one can attain the master status, so all students are gently advised to be patient when it comes to learning Feng Shui. You will advance as far as you are willing to put in efforts to build a strong foundation for your knowledge first, and then build on it. It is very important to remain humble, so as to not overly pressure your own self, in the end losing sight of the purpose of learning Feng Shui. We can assure you that what is taught in the courses are authentic, tried and tested, and beneficial to your practice. You can read in the testimonials from past student on the types of successful implementation of the skills picked up from the CAFS courses. It all depends on each student's attitude and willingness to learn and practice. We will never make reckless claims - we are not here to boost egos artificially. It is about pure knowledge.
